Welcome to Gbu. Gbu is a community-based platform that helps parents connect with one another and find meaningful information.
We are launching as a community for parents in the DMV area.
Currently, Korean-speaking parents are at the heart of the community and actively engaging with one another.
Anyone is welcome to join. Gbu is a space where parents share experiences, support one another, and grow together.
These Community Rules ensure safety, integrity, and trust across the platform.
These Rules apply to:
• Families
• Sitters
• All registered users
Violation may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.
1. Community Purpose
Gbu exists to support:
• Discuss – Parenting advice, school information, local questions
• Play Date – Creating and joining parent/child meetups
• Browse – Discovering local resources (including Sponsored listings)
• Market – Buying, selling, sharing, and group purchasing
• Sitter Search – Connecting with independent Sitters
Users must engage in good faith and contribute constructively.
2. Respect & Conduct
You may not:
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Use discriminatory, hateful, or abusive language
• Engage in bullying or retaliation
• Post inflammatory or deliberately misleading content
We reserve the right to remove content that disrupts community trust.
3. Child Safety & Privacy
Because Gbu serves families:
• Do not post identifiable information about children without consent.
• Do not share school locations, schedules, or private family data publicly.
• Do not post photos of minors without permission from their legal guardian.
Any content that endangers children will be removed immediately.
4. Honest Listings & Posts
Whether posting in Market, Browse, or Discuss:
• Provide accurate descriptions
• Do not misrepresent products, services, or qualifications
• Clearly disclose Sponsored or commercial intent
Fraudulent or deceptive behavior may result in permanent removal.
5. Marketplace Conduct (Market Section)
Users engaging in resale, free sharing, or group purchasing must:
• Accurately describe item condition
• Disclose known defects
• Follow applicable local laws
• Complete transactions independently
Gbu does not guarantee payment, delivery, or product condition.
6. Sponsored Listings (Browse Section)
Businesses may appear with a Sponsored label.
Sponsored placement:
• Does not constitute endorsement
• Does not guarantee quality
• Is a paid promotional feature
Users are responsible for independently evaluating services.
7. Off-Platform Safety
Meetups (Play Dates), transactions, and sitter services occur offline.
Gbu does not supervise:
• In-person meetings
• Childcare sessions
• Item exchanges
Users assume responsibility for their in-person interactions.
8. Enforcement
Gbu may:
• Remove content
• Limit account features
• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Cooperate with law enforcement
We may act without notice in cases involving safety risks.
